Origin: PDO Micro-Zone Mukuzani is located on the right bank of the Alazani River, on one of the Tsiv-Gombori Range hills, at an altitude of 350-750 meters above sea level. The area of vineyards in the Mukuzani microzone is up to 700 hectares.

Grape variety: Dry red wine Mukuzani is produced of 100% Saperavi variety grown in Mukuzani microzone only.

Age of grape vine: up to 17 to 19 years old.

Harvesting: Climatic conditions in the microzone of Mukuzani provide high natural grape sugar content in the grapes reaching up to 22-23% in the Saperavi grapes. Harvesting time - September, early October. Manual harvesting is applied. The average vineyards productivity is 7-8 tons per hectare.

Vinification: Manually harvested selected grapes are subject to fermentation using the latest state-of-the-art technology, while preserving the character and content of the Georgian wine Mukuzani. Fermentation is carried out in thermoregulated tanks, fermentation temperature does not exceed 20-26° C and lasts for 5-7 days.

After the fermentation is finished, the wine is compressed and the extract is delivered for aging.

Aging: Mukuzani wine is aged in French oak barrels for not less than 6 months.
